My experiences through hockey have taught me the importance of the big picture and appreciating there are a number of reasons why our youth play this great game. Some are passionate for competition, some are motivated by the experience - meeting friends & being active, many are somewhere in between.
Providing the players with an opportunity to learn new skills to maximize their development, build confidence, deal with adversity and learn to work in a team environment are the key take aways. Providing a safe and user-friendly platform is imperative.
